Design and construction of a climaframe for Georges Pierre Seurat’s work La Grève du Bas Butin à Honfleur, an oil on canvas dating back to 1886, which, thanks to this product, is now displayed in optimal safety and conservation conditions. The climaframe is a containment structure that isolates and protects the artwork from the surrounding environment. It is constructed by the Safe Tech department using pH-neutral materials that do not interact with the original materials. The inclusion of a relative humidity stabilizer ensures the maintenance of stable conditions over time. In this case, the structure was designed to be inserted into the artwork’s original frame.
