On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Ulisse Aldrovandi, CUBO Unipol, in collaboration with the University Library of Bologna (BUB), exhibited one of the scholar’s oldest and most renowned painted herbals. For this project, the Safe Tech division of Arterìa was commissioned to design and construct a conservation-grade display solution for the ancient volume. The custom-made case, which discreetly houses stabilizing materials, also includes a plexiglass book cradle with an angled opening specifically designed according to the current condition and conservation needs of the work.
